Classes

We are a small, family school made up of three classes of mixed ages. Whilst our children work predominantly in their classes, we provide them with lots of opportunities for collaborating with other children across the school.

Being a rural school set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, our classes are all named after British birds. Each class has a teaching assistant and class teacher who work closely together to meet the needs of each child.

Robins' Class
Robins’ Class has children in reception (Foundation Stage 2) and year 1. They have a lovely outside play area, where they can draw, play games, explore in the sand tray and construct large structures with the building blocks. Their home corner changes each term and has been a garden centre and space station.

Woodpeckers' Class
Woodpeckers’ Class are based in the main building and have children in years 2 and 3. Like all the classes, Woodpeckers enjoy doing creative learning projects and enhancing their learning with trips offsite, such as Stonehenge, the Roman Baths and The Natural History Museum.

Owls' Class
Owls’ Class is next to Robins and has children in years 4, 5 and 6. They have lots of different responsibilities and leadership roles in school and always try to look after the younger children and be good role models. Owls, like the other classes, enjoy working outdoors and making good use of the Secret Garden, Magic Wood and our beautiful local community.
